King Ferdinand and Queen Isabela have been chosen

 

The Institute of Hispanic Culture is pleased to announce that Benny and Nikki Agosto shall serve as King Ferdinand and Queen Isabela at this year's 45th Annual Noche de Las Américas Gala.  Benny Agosto, Jr. is a partner with the law firm Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend, and was recently sworn in as the National President-Elect of the Hispanic National Bar Association.  We are grateful for their support of the Institute and delighted to have them lead this year's gala ceremony.

Santa María Makes its Third Port of Call

Santa María Docks at the Methodist Research Institute

Today the Santa María Docked at the Methodist Research Institute (MRI) in the Texas Medical Center, where it was received by MRI President and CEO, and Noche De Las Américas Gala Pioneer Honoree, Dr. Mauro Ferrari. Also on hand were Gala Chairman Joseph McReynolds, Gala Co-Chair Diane Guariglia, Houston Maritime Museum Director John Kendall, along with Master Ship Modeler Lorena Alvarez.  The ship will be on display at Methodist for one week.
